Each directory has a different waiting period. Some may approve you the same day while it may take several months for others.

META Keywords and Descriptions may be used in HTML META tags in order to provide more information to the search engines.
While these tags are not used much anymore, some directories still require them.
You can type a slightly different version of your description and input some keywords related to your site when filing out the form.
